BRIEF

Mana Collective reimagines South Asian craft through a modern lens. The Dhyan Collection honors the heritage of Kathmandu Valley while embracing the present. Merging traditional wood carving with contemporary design, each piece reflects mindful making, where craft becomes meditation, and every detail carries intention.

Inspired by

Their journey started with slow, mindful research. We explored the rhythm of making, how artisans worked with focus and care. That idea became the core of the Dhyan Collection, inspired by the meditative nature of the craft itself.

Development

We collaborated with artisans in Bhaktapur and embraced a very hands on, experimental process. Sketches turned into prototypes, then into pieces full of character. Each object, from the console to the lattice screen, was shaped by a mix of tradition and playful exploration.

Materials

The collection uses natural materials like American Ash, Teak, Sheesham, and Brass. Every piece is designed to fit seamlessly into modern homes while carrying the spirit of Nepali heritage. The journey continues, with a coffee table collection coming soon.

Final Outcome

The Dhyan Collection is a result of careful and thoughtful work. Each piece is inspired by traditional wood carving from Kathmandu Valley but designed to fit modern homes. The collection focuses on simple shapes, smooth finishes, and fine details. Every product feels calm and peaceful, reminding people to slow down and enjoy the moment. These are not just everyday items, they carry the story of the craft and the people who made them.
